The 2 Young Foundation was founded in 2004 by Brian Bedell and continues to grow each year in his honor. 2YF is a non-profit (501c3) charitable organization that is dedicated to caring for families and patients affected by brain cancer, connecting communities to generate public awareness, and committing funds to further research in curing this disease.

They have launched this website in keeping with their mission, and it serves as a powerful tool to generate public awareness about brain cancer. It incorporates social networking sites to connect communities thus advancing 2YF’s endeavors to save lives, raise money to fund research initiatives, and ultimately find a cure for brain cancer. The site will serve as an additional resource for information about the disease, as well as provide ways to get involved with 2YF and their fundraising efforts and charity events.

The Foundation sponsors an annual tournament in Vienna, Virginia each year in which all funds collected - from team sign up to corporate sponsorships – go towards finding a cure for brain cancer. In addition to The Northern Virginia Wiffle® Ball World Series (NVWWS) they also donate grant money to brain cancer patients each year. 2YF has backed the NVWWS for the past six years, and with remarkable generosity and outstanding support it has contributed over $250,000 in support of its cause.

After Brian Bedell bravely fought a brain tumor for 20 months he died peacefully in 2005. Through the 2 Young Foundation’s efforts Brian Bedell will continue to make a difference in the lives of many others by helping to bring inspiration and optimism at a time when families and patients need it most – during their arduous battle against brain cancer.
