A brain tumor is primarily of two types of benign which are not cancerous and malignant which consists of cancer cells and can be fatal in the long run. In simple terms, brain tumor refers to a tumor which begins in the brain tissue.
However, if the cancer cells proliferate in other parts of the body and then spreads to the brain it is known as a secondary or metastatic brain tumor. The worst part of a brain tumor is that it does not have any relationship with age, it can occur at any age.
The exact cause of brain tumor is yet to be known by researchers and doctors all across the globe and there are thousands of scholars working on it all over the world.
The risk factors for brain tumors may include a family history of brain tumor along with prolonged exposure to harmful radiations. The basic symptoms of the brain tumor and brain cancer are more or less similar and they depend on the type, size and the location of the tumor.
Some of the most common types of brain tumors include meningioma, Oligodendroglioma, astrocytoma among adults and ependymoma and brain cell glioma among children.

It is very important to do a correct diagnosis of the kind, size, type and position of the brain tumor/ cancer cells so as to predict as well as prepare the proper treatment plan to cater to the condition effectively.
Treatment of Brain Cancer/Tumor or Other Brain Diseases
Radiation therapy, chemotherapy or surgery is the main kind of treatment for brain tumors, but then again the kind of treatment depends on the kind, type, size and the location of the tumor to be treated.
There are various causes of brain cancer or brain tumor, and various types of brain tumors as well. Thus the treatment for each condition also remains variable and it depends on the overall health of the patient as well as their preference along with the medical condition and the suggestion of the doctor.
The overall expenses for the treatment of brain cancer may also vary according to the severity of the condition. There might not be many great treatment methods of brain cancer/ tumor however it can be delayed to some extent with the right kind of medical steps taken for the patient.
